A C&I / Automation technician is required in the steel and industrial manufacturing sector in Johannesburg East. Key responsibilities will include PLC Programming automation and instrumentation systems. Will also be responsible for doing Level 2 and Level 3 Industrial MES. Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering with managerial experience in the Automation / MIS. PLC/DCS Programming Networking SQL and VB programming and be able to work on Power BI.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining automation reliability process control and instrumentation systems. Will also be responsible for doing Level 2 and Level 3 Industrial Automation Qualification:
National Diploma in electronic or Instrumentation Engineering
Electronic/Instrumentation technician Trade test is beneficial.
Managerial experience in the Automation / MIS field
Experience :
Process Control Systems and Databases experience
PLC/DCS Programming
Networking
Database knowledge of SQL
VB programming
Responsibilities:
PLC Maintenance and programming (Siemens)
Aveva System Platform maintenance and updates
SCADA Programming
Networks: Ethernet Profibus Profinet.
Managing/ overseeing the Process Control Systems and Databases.
Programming Visual Basic (VB)
VB Scripting
SQL Server (Stored Procedures Functions Views
SSRS
Be able to work on Power BI
Maintain and develop intricate and complex systems required by the process control system.
