Job Description
Job Description:
- Design develop and code electronic circuits systems and components based on project needs
- Build and test prototypes using a hands-on approach
- Troubleshoot debug and optimize electronic systems for reliability and performance
- Design and layout PCBs with a focus on signal integrity and manufacturability
- Conduct system testing to ensure compliance with technical standards and specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware software and mechanical) for seamless product integration
- Document designs test procedures and user manuals clearly and accurately
- Support internal teams and customers with technical insights and problem resolution
- Stay current with industry trends and recommend improvements to hardware and systems
- Ensure quality safety and regulatory compliance across all hardware designs
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing cost-effective efficient electronic solutions
- 6-month contract initially
- Minimum 510 years in electronic design and manufacturing
- Hardware design with strong installation and process know-how
- IoT systems expertise including LoRaWAN radios and gateways
- Low-power design with battery and solar optimization
- GPS integration (standard A-GPS PPP)
- 3D design and printing
- Experience with E-ink or digital displays
- Knowledge of product design and manufacturing workflows
- A passion for golf is a plus
- Product and system training provided
Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electronic Engineering
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
