Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chef for a renowned luxury private game reserve located in Hoedspruit. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional to lead a dynamic kitchen team in delivering world-class dining experiences in the heart of the African bush.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of the kitchen operations
Design seasonal and creative menus using fresh locally sourced ingredients
Maintain the highest standards of food quality presentation and hygiene
Lead train and motivate the kitchen team to ensure consistent performance
Work collaboratively with lodge management to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction
Manage stock levels cost control and supplier relationships
Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations
Accommodate special dietary needs and personalise culinary experiences for guests
Requirements:
A recognised culinary qualification or relevant training
Minimum 5 years experience as a Head or Executive Chef preferably in a luxury lodge or fine dining environment
Strong leadership and team management abilities
High levels of creativity attention to detail and passion for food
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Strong knowledge of food cost stock management and kitchen administration
Willingness to work in a remote bush location and flexible with working hours
Ability to manage a diverse kitchen team and maintain a positive productive environment
