Job Description
GENERAL MANAGER: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Industry: Furniture and Home appliances
Report to Managing Director.
Line-Manager of IT Department structure and reporting lines as determined by the GM IT in conjunction with the MD.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Degree in IT or related field essential.
- Specific qualifications/certifications in management and IT areas of expertise.
- IT Software Development project management and IT Service delivery training advantageous.
Relevant Working Experience
- IT Management risk management and governance
- Management and Leadership (including change management)
- Software Development and quality software delivery
- IT Operations IT infrastructure and cybersecurity
- Data management and data science
Working Conditions
- Weekday office core hours from 08h30 to 16h30.
- Overtime/after-hours work as required in times of high pressure.
- Availability if needed over weekends and after-hours for IT and business escalations/emergencies.
- Mobility: The job entails travel to stores and offices throughout the Group.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure the IT function and all IT facilities deliver sustainable value and satisfaction to the business enabling the company to run its daily operations to grow to innovate and to execute business strategy and goals efficiently and in a well-controlled and cost-effective manner.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain and evolve the IT Strategy aligned with business strategy and the IT worlds priorities and practices.
- Ensure all IT services meet the day-to-day operational needs of the business.
- Manage the IT Team.
- Manage IT Finances.
- Ensure new IT projects are delivered successfully.
- Manage External IT Partnerships
- Implement and maintain appropriate IT Controls and Governance.
- Maintain sustainable IT architectures and design.
- Provide IT Leadership to the company

Package & Remuneration
Total CTC per month R 120 000
(Includes Basic Monthly Salary Provident Fund contibution and Anual R 30K Bonus)
