Our client based at the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities forming strategic partnerships and driving sustainable growth across the company s portfolio.
Your responsibilities will entail the following :
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify develop and manage strategic business opportunities and partnerships (corporate bookings events brand collaborations etc.)
- Analyse market trends customer behavior and competitor activity to inform strategy
- Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to develop campaigns and packages that drive traffic and sales
- Proactively source new corporate and private clients for venue bookings and private functions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients partners and key stakeholders
- Prepare and present business proposals revenue reports and performance metrics to management
- Assist in the development and implementation of loyalty CRM and retention strategies
Requirements
- Minimum 3 5 years experience in business development sales or marketing (in hospitality events or lifestyle brands)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to think strategically
- A passion for hospitality food and lifestyle experiences
- Ability to work flexibly including evenings/weekends for events when required
