Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions (e.g. accounts payable receivable reconciliations).
Perform daily weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
Process supplier and customer invoices credit notes and statements.
Manage petty cash and staff expense claims.
Capture and reconcile stock movement and inventory adjustments in collaboration with warehouse staff.
Assist with stock audits and cycle counts from an accounting perspective.
Reconcile inventory accounts with the general ledger.
Prepare VAT PAYE and other SARS submissions and ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Generate financial reports (e.g. trial balance income statements balance sheets) for review.
Support the external audit process with documentation and schedules.
Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure correct costing and allocation of deliveries and stock movements.
Grade 12
A tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting will be an advantage.
Minimum of 3 5 years of bookkeeping experience.
At least 2 years experience within a warehouse logistics or distribution environment.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage Xero QuickBooks or similar).
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Education
Grade 12 A tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting will be an advantage.
