Tasks
Were looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team on a permanent hybrid basis. Youll be working with one of our major banking clients based in Johannesburg helping to deliver critical software systems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to manage timelines resources and technical delivery. Its ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with leadership and a passion for high-impact delivery.
Requirements
Experience & Skills:
- 5 years of Data Engineering or similar experience (essential)
- Strong expertise in Ab Initio SQL ETL Data Analysis and Data Modelling
- Background in the Banking and/or Consulting sectors (highly preferred)
- Experience managing teams or leading projects (preferred)
- Familiarity with Agile Project Management and the Software Development Lifecycle (advantageous)
- Excellent communication problem-solving and leadership skills
- Proven ability to deliver within the financial services environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (strongly preferred)
- Certifications in Project Management (PMP PRINCE2) are a plus
