Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Ref: 5050
Location: PE/Gqeberha
Salary: R25000 per month negotiable commensurate with qualification and experience
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years Code 14 Drivers license
- Code 14 Driver experience highly advantageous
- Computer literate
- Previous Yard Supervisor skills/experience essential
- Mechanically orientated
- Energetic person with positive attitude
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Leadership and communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work overtime if needed
- Ability to work independently while still maintaining to clearly communicate with management
- Ability to work under pressure
Key Performance Areas:
- Oversee daily operations in the yard
- Safety compliance
- Smooth coordination between departments
- Ensure the yard is organised and accessible for customers staff Drivers and trucks/trailers
- Ensure employees follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment in every department
- Ensure trucks are equipped with correct equipment for securing loads
- Drivers testing of all new applicants
- Actively supervise and monitor operational activities within the yard
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations including safety protocols
- Ensure the safety of personnel and equipment within the yard
- General daily functions and duties
- Optimise fleet scheduling
Desired Experience & Qualification
