Responsibilities / Tasks
- Serves as the Divisional technical expert
- On site service intervention
- Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for service work and commissioning projects:
- Develop detailed cost estimates and project schedules
- Communicate and collaborate with other managers suppliers and contractors.
- Take lead and discuss project specifications by consulting with customers and GEA CoC
- Answer questions and resolves technical issues brought forth by Farm Technologies team members and GEA customers
- Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by technical staff
- Provide detailed technical reports recommended repair solutions and define measures to prevent reoccurrences in a timely manner
- Drive Farm Technologies Equipment Upgrades and Modernization with technological improvements
- Assist Services Sales to create SLAs and associated estimating tools for:
- Inspections Only
- Service contracts
- Full maintenance contracts
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Tertiary technical qualification or similar in electrical or electromechanical
- 4 years of Technical experience
- Background/experience in agricultural industry
- Experience in a managerial role
- Analytical and mathematical mind capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems
- Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team
- English/Afrikaans (proficient)
- Good influencing and negotiation skills
- Analytical capabilities
- Problem-solving skills
