Description
Job Title: Concrete Foreman
Location: Woodstock Western Cape
Industry: Construction
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Foreman to oversee and coordinate all concrete-related operations on-site for a dynamic construction company based in Woodstock. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of concrete work proven leadership abilities and a track record of delivering quality work on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily concrete activities on-site including formwork pouring curing and finishing.
- Lead and manage a team of concrete workers ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications related to concrete structures.
- Monitor the use of materials and equipment ensuring minimal waste and efficient usage.
- Liaise with site engineers subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and execution.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of health and safety on-site.
- Report progress delays or issues to the site manager or project manager.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric (relevant tertiary or technical qualifications advantageous).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing concrete works (foundations slabs columns retaining walls etc.).
- Strong understanding of concrete mixes formwork systems and curing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
