Job Description
Introduction
A leading national retailer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee the operations of 6 to 8 retail stores across the Gauteng region. This role is perfect for a dynamic retail leader who thrives on driving performance operational excellence and team development across multiple branches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Store Managers to achieve sales profit and customer service targets.
- Monitor store performance analyze sales reports and implement strategies to improve turnover and profitability.
- Ensure consistent operational standards across stores including merchandising stock control staff management and compliance.
- Recruit train coach and develop store teams to ensure strong leadership at branch level.
- Conduct regular store visits and audits providing actionable feedback to enhance performance and customer experience.
- Collaborate with head office on marketing campaigns product rollouts and regional promotions.
- Drive implementation of new systems processes and strategic initiatives across the region.
Requirements:
- Minimum 35 years of multi-store management experience in a retail environment.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of delivering on KPIs and improving business performance.
- Hands-on experience in people management training and team development.
- Solid understanding of retail operations stock control and visual merchandising.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the province.
- Matric required; a diploma or degree in Retail Business Management or a related field will be advantageous.
