Performance Meets Public Curiosity
Do you thrive on confusing strangers in the best possible way Are you an equal parts performance artist street philosopher and lovable oddball
Good because were hiring a full-time costumed legend to take to the streets and become a living symbol of delightful absurdity.
This is not your average gig. You wont be dancing at sports games or hyping up crowds. You will be living in character five days a week eight hours a day a walking contradiction with a mission to entertain confuse and captivate.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Wander promenades malls sidewalks and beaches in full character
- Spark curiosity without saying a word
- Take part in peaceful and humorous public demonstrations (props provided)
- Hand out mysterious flyers and even more mysterious vibes
- Appear in viral social content guerrilla-style campaigns and public stunts
- Pose for photos accept awkward hugs and inspire speculation
- Travel to random locations as directed (sometimes via Uber... still in costume)
- This is performance as a lifestyle. Think street theatre meets social experiment with a dash of internet fame.
You Should Apply If You:
- Are based in JHB
- Have a background in drama clowning performance art or public shenanigans
- Are physically able to wear a full-body costume for long hours (yes it gets warm youll be a trooper)
- Are delightfully strange ridiculously reliable and unbothered by public stares
- Have a flair for silent comedy mime or pantomime
- Have access to transport (driving in costume bonus points)
- Are you the type of person people film without knowing why
