Norman Goodfellows is looking for an IT Administrator to join our Cape Town team!
The IT Administrator will provide first-line technical support and assist in maintaining the organisation s IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with foundational IT knowledge who is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for hardware software and network issues
- Set up and configure workstations laptops printers and other peripherals
- Assist with user account management (e.g. email system access password resets)
- Perform routine maintenance on IT systems and ensure software updates and patches are applied
- Support the IT team with server maintenance backups and network monitoring
- Document IT procedures and user guides
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary
Requirements
- A diploma or certificate in Information Technology or a related field
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems Microsoft Office and networking concepts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Previous experience in an IT support role (internship or entry-level) is advantageous
