Job Description
Introduction
To effectively manage co-ordinate and monitor the general accounting management accounting budgeting insurance and risk management as well as the overall utilisation of the companys financial resources according to general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and to assist to maximise profits
Must be able to speak read and write English and Afrikaans fluently
Experience workiong in Plant/Manufacturing/FMCG essential
Duties & Responsibilities
* Financial Management: Provide oversight and planning for financial management - Financial reports - Analyse costs pricing variable contributions sales results and the companys actual performance compared to the business plans - Set goals and objectives for the financial department - Financial control - Execute Cost/production accounting tasks - Drafting and advising on accounting policies and procedures - Manage the annual external audit - Oversee debtor and creditor administration procurement and asset management
* Strategic Management: Do business financial planning - Conduct research about latest developments - Do financial forecasts - Give inputs to strategic planning future direction and growth of the business
* People Management
* Administrative Control
* Liaison: Liaise with senior and line management external role players including SARS auditors banks and suppliers
Desired Experience & Qualification
Accounting or Financial Management
SAIPA Registration
8 to 10 years working experience
Must have solid working experience in a plant/manufacturing/FMCG environment
