Position: GTM Engineer
Work Hours (Client): 9:00 am - 5 pm EST
Location of Search: Preference: South Africa and Latam
About the Role
This is a mission-critical role focused on directly supporting senior clients and building/optimizing our cold outreach engine through Clay and related automation platforms. You ll be the backbone of our outbound infrastructure directly supporting and impacting client outcomes and further accelerating overall company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and manage end-to-end outreach workflows through Clay-based outreach systems
- Scrape enrich and filter prospect data using AI techniques
- Build maintain and optimize cold email infrastructure (domains sending profiles tracking)
- Integrate automation tools (Zapier Make etc.) with Clay and CRMs
- Collaborate closely with founders/executives/clients to refine ICP criteria shape GTM strategies and understand their TAM
- Troubleshoot and refine end-to-end outreach flows
- Document systems continuously A/B test messaging and contribute to building scalable processes
- Option to grow into a lead role and mentor future hires
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4 years in outbound marketing automation or technical marketing roles
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Clay (MUST HAVE)
- Strong understanding of cold email strategy tools (e.g. Instantly) and deliverability best practices
- Experience with automation platforms (Zapier Make n8n or custom workflows)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills particularly in the context of client-facing work
- Data-driven operator who can set clear metrics A/B test experiments and leverage data to inform decision making
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commercial thinker: You can grasp sales fundamentals and can articulate value to technical and non-technical executives
Nice-to-Have
- Previous startup experience
- Experience managing email infrastructure (e.g. warming SPF/DKIM inbox health)
- Background in technical marketing no-code/low-code tooling or data scraping
- Ability to mentor junior team members contractors or freelancers in future
