The City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Data Engineer to lead the delivery of our data capability roadmap and play a central role in building a data-driven organisation.
As a member of our team you wont just work for the city; youll co-create it.
Through your work youll have a behind the scenes pass to Newcastles evolution as you shape our future as a liveable inclusive city.
In this pivotal role you will provide technical expertise and leadership in engineering managing and continuously enhancing CNs enterprise data platforms data pipelines and analytics solutions. Youll work closely with internal stakeholders vendors Geospatial Engineers and the Data Analyst Lead to ensure our data systems are effective scalable and aligned to the organisations strategic needs.
As a principal subject matter expert youll be responsible for the development implementation and maintenance of both new and existing data capabilities and processes. You will have the opportunity to shape and influence our data standards and governance practices while promoting the use of best-practice engineering principles across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings deep technical capability in modern data technologies. Your work will help unlock insights support smarter decision-making and drive innovation across the City. Remuneration: $132740.42 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week
