Job Description
An opportunity exists for experienced Senior IT/OT Security Architect to support ongoing security architecture activities and address a backlog of security design reviews across business-critical systems. The role involves validating existing architectures recommending security enhancements and supporting the execution of remediation activities to strengthen overall system resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct security design reviews for IT and OT systems
Validate architecture outcomes and provide actionable recommendations
Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure secure integrations and implementations
Lead or support remediation initiatives to address identified vulnerabilities
Participate in on-site assessments across various operational locations
Work closely with other architecture disciplines (e.g. Infrastructure Data Technology)
Align security architecture activities with overall cyber security strategy and enterprise risk posture
Requirements:
10 years of experience in IT Security Architecture; OT Security Architecture experience preferred
Strong understanding of both IT and OT environments security frameworks and architectural best practices
Experience conducting architecture reviews threat modeling and risk assessments
Ability to operate effectively in both strategic and technical domains
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Willingness to travel nationally as needed
Must be based in South Africa
Experience working in complex multi-vendor or outsourced environments is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g. SABSA CISSP CISM TOGAF)
Experience with ICS/SCADA environments and securing operational technology infrastructures
