Our client is looking for a Financial Inventory Controller to manage and control inventory levels systems and related financial processes ensuring data accuracy minimizing stock losses and supporting compliance with financial regulations. This role contributes to business decisions by delivering meaningful inventory reporting and process improvement insights.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver monthly management reports on key inventory performance indicators highlighting variances and root causes.
Ensure the cleanliness accuracy and completeness of inventory data across systems and accounting records.
Plan and coordinate stock counts across all Lubes locations including third-party sites ensuring accurate reconciliation.
Liaise with external auditors during year-end inventory verifications and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Drive the implementation and improvement of inventory controls and policies to mitigate risk and enhance operational accuracy.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency accuracy and inventory visibility.
Provide financial analysis and insights to business units to support decision-making and inventory strategy alignment.
Support ad hoc projects and requests offering subject matter expertise on inventory processes.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
Minimum Requirements
NQF Level 6 Diploma in Logistics Business Administration Finance or a related field
Minimum 3 years experience in inventory management
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
SAP experience in Logistics Materials Management and Accounting modules
Ability to adapt and succeed in fast-paced and evolving environments
Preferred Experience
3 years experience in Depot or Lubricants Inventory Management
Knowledge of EDI and automated inventory reconciliation systems
Prior experience in the fuel or lubricants industry
Familiarity with inventory systems controls and related financial policies
