Job Description

LOOKING FOR SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS WHO ARE BASED IN SOUTH AFRICA CANDIDATES

Position : Assistant Project Manager

Working Schedule : 7a-4p PST

Salary Range : $1800- $2000 USD Monthly (the final salary will be determined by the candidates level of experience and at the discretion of the client)

About Us:

Our client is a growing commercial construction company specializing in various tenant improvement projects. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our CEO and field team in managing active projects. This is a vital role that keeps our projects running smoothly on time and well-documented.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the CEO to manage administrative tasks for each construction project. This position requires excellent communication skills strong organization and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be the go-to person for project documentation subcontractor communication meeting coordination and other administrative functions that keep projects on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative support to the CEO for all active construction projects.
  • Prepare distribute and follow up on meeting minutes for project and stakeholder meetings.
  • Communicate professionally with subcontractors clients and vendors.
  • Draft and issue subcontracts change orders RFIs and formal pricing requests.
  • Organize and maintain digital project documentation including subcontractor invoices drawings and correspondence.
  • Upload track and manage permit documents and other regulatory paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate records in company project management systems.
  • Participate in project stakeholder meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules and ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in commercial construction administration or project coordination (Required).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Google Workspace and digital file management.
  • Experience with construction software such as ProCore etc.
  • Familiarity with construction project documents (RFIs change orders subcontracts).
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Professional proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
