Job Description
Provide expert guidance on complex accounting auditing and ethical matters across the firm
Lead internal consultations ensuring consistent and accurate responses to technical queries
Oversee pre-issuance reviews identifying quality risks and ensuring audit standards are met
Support reviewers with complex judgments promoting consistency and audit quality
Review IFRS and IFRS for SMEs financial statements for compliance and technical accuracy
Develop and present technical training and updates to staff and leadership
Contribute to internal accounting opinions and firm-wide technical guidance
Enhance audit methodology by designing and reviewing practical templates and working papers
Assist in creating firm policies that align with evolving professional standards
Support quality control initiatives through root cause analyses and action planning
Keep the firm informed of relevant local and international developments in accounting and audit
Guide improvements to audit tools and software issuing firm-wide best practices
Draft and submit comment letters on proposed changes to IFRS and ISA standards
Skills & Experience:
CA(SA)
Minimum 1 years in a technical role
Working knowledge ISQM 1 & 2 and IRBA
IFRS IFRS for SME and ISA expert knowledge
Able to communicate across senior staff teams and partners
Caseware and GreatSoft experience highly beneficial
