Job Description
Job Title: Outbound Sales Representative Advertising & Sponsorship Sales
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: USD $1400 $1600/month (based on experience) potential bonuses/commissions based on performance
Reports To: Sales Director

About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Outbound Sales Representative with a focus on advertising and sponsorship sales. This role is about more than just making calls it s about identifying and securing high-value opportunities for our publication including event sponsorships podcast sponsorships sponsored newsletters and other advertising packages.
You will be responsible for generating high-quality leads conducting targeted outreach and progressing prospects through to the proposal stage. While primarily focused on outbound sales some leads and data will be provided. You will work closely with our internal team to ensure a smooth handoff after the proposal stage.
An interest in natural health and wellness is strongly preferred to reduce the learning curve and better connect with our audience and advertiser base.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cold outreach via phone email LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other channels to targeted prospects
- Perform lead research to identify and prioritize potential advertisers sponsors and partners
- Personalize outreach efforts to align with each prospect s needs and industry context
- Qualify and progress leads through the sales pipeline to the proposal stage
- Collaborate with the internal team for contract finalization and onboarding after the proposal stage
- Identify sponsorship opportunities for events publications podcasts and newsletters
- Suggest creative campaign ideas and communicate resource needs (graphics copy social posts) to marketing support
- Maintain accurate CRM records () and track outreach activities
- Consistently meet and exceed outreach and lead progression targets
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years outbound sales or cold calling experience (phone and email)
- Native English speaker with a neutral accent (must be South Africa-based)
- Strong business acumen and ability to communicate the value of niche publications
- Prior advertising media or sponsorship sales experience highly advantageous
- Proven track record of balancing research personalization and effective outreach
- Comfortable owning the top-of-funnel process from prospecting to proposal handoff
- Experience using Slack and LinkedIn Sales Navigator (or similar tools) preferred
- Self-motivated proactive and confident in taking ownership of the sales process
- Interest in natural health and wellness strongly preferred
