Location: Fully remote South Africa preferred
We are seeking a Sales & Customer Success Representative to manage inbound leads follow up with prospective customers and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales process. This role involves handling inquiries across multiple channels conducting personalized follow-ups managing CRM records and upselling complementary products where appropriate.
Lead Management & Customer Communication
Handle/respond to inbound leads via phone calls live chat and email conversations
Maintain ongoing conversations with customers to support sales efforts
Conduct follow-ups to build relationships with:
Abandoned checkouts
Manual quotes sent
System designs in progress
Previous customers
Follow-Up Process
Receive abandoned checkout notifications via Slack automation; follow up by phone during business hours
Personalize outreach based on cart items and past interactions
Monitor CRM alerts for quote follow-ups and system design check-ins
Conduct kickoff calls to review system designs address needs (installer referrals financing changes) and identify roadblocks (budgeting install timeline approvals)
Coordinate with the design team to create or revise system designs as needed
CRM & Pipeline Management
Log all interactions and notes in the CRM
Maintain accurate lead stages follow-up reminders and categorization
Prioritize leads by value urgency and engagement history
Upselling & Relationship Building
Upsell complementary products (e.g. cables combiner boxes) to existing customers or recent purchasers
Acknowledge orders review their system and suggest relevant add-ons
Daily Reporting
Provide daily check-in updates on progress and priorities
Location:
South Africa preferred
Must have a stable fast internet connection and reliable power backup
Language & Communication Skills:
Fluent in English with clear natural verbal and written communication
No strong native accent
Customer-oriented empathetic and committed to delivering exceptional service
Personal Traits:
Dependable proactive calm under pressure detail-oriented
Prior experience selling solar products to businesses and/or consumers
Strong understanding of the solar market customer journey and products
Experience handling inquiries providing quotes (in collaboration with teammates) and conducting follow-ups
Familiar with lead stages and sales pipeline management
Ability to follow and improve SOPs
Reliable record-keeping and CRM activity logging
Familiarity with the company s software stack (specific tools not provided)
