The Role
As a Systems Administrator 2 youll be instrumental in supporting troubleshooting and maintaining essential IT systems. Youll manage IT infrastructure handle day-to-day operations monitor systems and resolve issues across various client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. This role involves providing both Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support diagnosing and resolving problems and configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role is 100% onsite in Annapolis Junction MD.
What Youll Bring
- BS and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator; Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Proficiency in implementing troubleshooting and maintaining IT systems.
- Experience providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification diagnosis and resolution.
- Ability to manage daily activities related to IT system configuration and operation.
- Familiarity with optimizing system operations resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
- In-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
- Skilled in configuring and managing UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems including installing/loading OS software maintaining integrity and configuring network components.
- Experience implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
