Job Description
Lead the development and maintenance of Ruby on Rails applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Upgrade and support core components of our Ruby on Rails infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
Mentor and guide junior engineers fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Implement Agile methodologies to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
Continuously improve code quality through writing comprehensive tests and documentation.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and apply them to improve our systems.
Requirements:
Significant experience with Ruby on Rails including the ability to walk through examples and outline key functions.
Proven ability to upgrade Ruby and support core components.
Strong Agile experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies with a process-oriented approach.
Experience with OAuth AWS Infrastructure as Code GitHub Actions and Bamboo is a plus.
Understanding of full-stack systems and how they integrate within an ecosystem.
Strong individual contributor with a focus on delivering high-quality code.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to writing thorough documentation and tests.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience mentoring and supporting engineers with a focus on collaboration and team support.
Interest in exploring and working on new technologies and areas beyond Ruby on Rails.
Ability to balance purist approaches with practical system requirements.
