Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital is a premier clinical and academic health system providing expert pediatric care for infants children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services we are the regional pediatric referral center for Floridas West Coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Transport Respiratory Therapists purpose is to provide quality respiratory care to our patients including routine and complex procedures using a wide variety of techniques and equipment. Collaborates care with the multidisciplinary team and communicates effectively with others. Ensures patient care meets quality standards established by the hospital department and regulatory agencies. Is accountable for maintaining all skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe effective and developmentally appropriate respiratory care to patients of all ages from neonate to adolescent. Along with other members of the care team is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high standards of care provided by JHACH.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree
Current Florida Respiratory Therapist Licensure
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC) Must be a graduate of a Registered Respiratory Therapy Program approved by the Commission of Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association or must be obtained within 120-day orientation period
Current NRP certification if working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Salary Range: Minimum$30.19/hour - Maximum$48.30/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
