Job Title: EHS Advisor - Pharmaceutical Construction Project
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Start Date: September
Duration: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Languages: English (required)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced EHS Advisor for a pharmaceutical construction project based in Dublin. This 12-month role involves managing health, safety, and environmental compliance on a high-specification, cleanroom-focused build, including process systems installation, commissioning, and qualification activities.

You will act as a key point of contact for all EHS matters on site, ensuring adherence to Irish legislation, GMP guidelines, and client safety standards. This is a critical role in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement site-specific EHS plans in line with client, company, and regulatory standards.

  • Monitor and manage high-risk activities, such as confined space entry, chemical handling, working at height, and commissioning.

  • Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections, documenting findings and driving improvements.

  • Maintain all relevant EHS records including RAMS, permits, incident reports, training records, and safety observations.

  • Lead site inductions and deliver toolbox talks tailored to pharmaceutical-specific risks.

  • Work closely with subcontractors to promote a shared culture of safety and compliance.

  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, ensuring robust root cause analysis and follow-up actions.

  • Interface with the client's EHS team and regulatory bodies as required.

  • Support environmental compliance, including waste management, dust control, and chemical storage.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in EHS roles within pharmaceutical, biotech, or high-spec cleanroom construction projects.

  • Recognised EHS qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent).

  • Strong knowledge of Irish EHS legislation, GMP requirements, and construction safety best practices.

  • Proven ability to coordinate with multiple subcontractors and uphold high safety standards.

  • Fluent English; excellent communication and reporting skills.

  • Experience supporting commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), or handover phases is highly desirable.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate or fixed-term contract

  • Opportunity to work on a cutting-edge pharmaceutical facility

  • Career development within a leading global contractor

  • Collaborative and safety-driven project culture
