Job Description
Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside NY is currently seeking full-time qualified board-certified stroke neurologist to serve as Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology.
The selected candidate must have excellent clinical skills with an interest in outpatient and inpatient stroke care a track record of clinical and/or translational research as well as strong leadership skills. The selected candidate will be expected to provide equal effort in clinical care and in leadership of the Division.
The Division of Neurology is currently comprised of eight faculty Neurologists who work to achieve the hospitals Joint Commissions gold seal of approval for disease-specific care for primary stroke AHA Gold Plus Stroke Center and partial thrombectomy capable interventional services in the setting of a very active neurosurgical service state of the art neurological imaging studies and epilepsy platform and a full-service tertiary care hospital. We are in the process of building a full comprehensive thrombectomy capable Stroke Center and Neurology Service and are looking to recruit full-time faculty to expand the Divisions services.

Responsibilities
- Employed full time position based at Mount Sinai South Nassau
- Inpatient vascular neurology consultative services
- Call coverage for stroke

Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York Medical License
- Graduate from an accredited ACGME Neurology Residency Program
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
- Experienced neurologists and new graduates are welcome to apply
- Additional fellowship training in Vascular Neurology EEG or other areas is welcome but not required to apply for this position

Compensation range from 345 to 345K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience specialties historical productivity historical collections and hospital/community need. As such an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range and in certain circumstances may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
