Deputy Nursery Manager Level 3 Early Years Up to 33000

Our client a welcoming Montessori-based nursery with a Good Ofsted rating is looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join their leadership team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a calm inspiring environment where learning and independence are at the heart of the approach. With a focus on nurturing both children and staff this role blends hands-on involvement with leadership responsibilities making it ideal for a dedicated early years professional who wants to make a real difference.

What Were Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) essential.
  • Proven Deputy Manager experience in an early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of both the Montessori approach and EYFS requirements.
  • Excellent communication organisational and leadership skills.
  • A proactive supportive and child-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and smooth running of the nursery.
  • Lead inspire and mentor staff to create a positive inclusive and collaborative working culture.
  • Ensure the Montessori philosophy and EYFS standards are embedded throughout daily practice.
  • Manage daily operations staffing and ratios when the Nursery Manager is absent.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding health and safety at all times.
  • Build strong positive relationships with children families and external partners.
  • Contribute to staff development through training feedback and performance reviews.
