Description
The On-Call Guest Room Cleaner for DTS Housing plays an essential role in maintaining a clean comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents prospective residents staff faculty and other guests who stay in our Campus Housing Guest Rooms. The ideal candidate is flexible self-motivated and committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clean guest rooms including beds bathrooms and common areas according to established standards.
- Replenish guest room supplies such as toiletries towels and linens.
- Ensure proper handling and care of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Respond promptly to on-call requests for cleaning services including evenings weekends and holidays.
- Inspect rooms for damages or maintenance needs and report findings to the appropriate department.
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.
- Collaborates with other Housing team members to ensure an incomparable customer experience
- Other duties as assigned
Commitments Unique to the Position:
- Must select a course schedule that is conducive to the requirements of the role (approved by Supervisor)
- Work weekends as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent time management skills to stay on schedule
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to keep track of room reservation
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Education and Experience:
- High School Degree preferred
- Prefer candidates who demonstrates reliability and attention to detail
- Prefer candidates who demonstrate a positive attitude and work independently
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to repeat the same movements.
- Ability to bend or twist their body.
- Ability to use their hands to handle control or feel objects tools or controls.
- Ability to kneel stoop crouch or craw
- Ability to climb or balance
