Senior Configuration Management Analyst

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis a rapidly growing small business in Huntsville AL is currently seeking aSenior Configuration Management Analyst.

Summary/Objective

Responsible for familiarity and use of military and industry specifications and standards for guidance in the reviewing and preparation of technical drawings.

Essential Functions

• Develops Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (OM) processes and keeps CM/OM plans current
• Manages the document control process; tracks reviews and analyzes deliverable products; and supports configuration control meetings
• Participates in Physical and Functional Configuration Audits (PCAs/FCAs) to ensure conformance of drawings and specifications used in the manufacture and testing of weapons system parts/components
• Prepares input to Configuration Management plans Software Management plans and Software Transition plans
• Evaluates engineering data and documentation drawings parts lists engineering change proposals notice of revisions (NORs) and engineering release records (ERRs) to determine completeness adequacy of detail and technical accuracy
• Performs configuration and data management assignments requiring use of applied concepts principles theories practices and techniques

Required Education and Experience

• BS in a related field; 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Knowledge of desktop applications including word processing spreadsheets and database software packages
• Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance interim ok
• U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Education and Experience

• Proficiency in the use of CADM (Configuration and Data Management) tools such as Serena Software Inc Dimensions CM and MEARS
• Ability to provide technical advice and guidance on CM/DM methods procedures and requirements

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

• S. Citizenship is required.
• Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
