Job Description

We are seeking an o9 Planning Data Scientist to support our client in leading the design and optimization of statistical forecasting segmentation models and promotional analytics within the o9 platform. Youll work directly with demand planners and functional leads to improve model accuracy and performance ensuring alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze historical demand patterns and select/configure appropriate forecasting algorithms within o9.
- Configure and tune o9 statistical forecasting plug-ins for segmentation seasonality and promotions.
- Validate regression models and forecasting accuracy; summarize findings for business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to integrate data science outputs into the planning system.
- Document forecasting logic support knowledge transfer and facilitate planner onboarding.
- Provide guidance on statistical modeling best practices within o9.
Requirements
- 5 years in data science or analytics with focus on forecasting or demand planning.
- Must have hands-on experience with statistical modeling in o9 platforms.
- Experience with regression analysis segmentation techniques and promotional uplift modeling.
- Proficient in Python or R; familiarity with demand planning tools is a plus.
