About Us: Milagro is a thriving professional theater dedicated to bringing engaging and thought-provoking productions to our audiences. With a 121-seat theater and a fully-equipped scene shop we create an immersive experience for both our patrons and the artists we work with.
For Season42 we are seeking a talented Set Builder with construction and painting skills to help bring our productions to life.
Job Description: As a Set Builder with Milagro you will play a crucial role in the realization of our productions contributing your skills in construction and painting to create captivating and immersive sets. You will work closely with our Production Team to transform our vision into reality ensuring that each production becomes a visual masterpiece.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Production Team to develop and execute the set design.
- Construct and paint set pieces props and scenic elements.
- Ensure that all set elements are safe and functional for actors and crew.
- Assist with load-in and strike activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized scene shop.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in set construction and painting for theater productions.
- Proficiency in using a variety of tools and construction techniques.
- Strong painting skills including knowledge of color mixing and application.
- Ability to work in a team and take direction from the Production Team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Flexibility to work within the provided schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Spanish language a plus
Compensation: Compensation for this position will be discussed during the interview possible pay range $17 - $20 per hour depending on experience
