JOB SUMMARY: The Nurse Manager is part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals who are expected to provide clinical expertise and oversight of clients within Residential Treatment. The Nurse Manager will provide administrative clerical and practical support for the Director of Office of Healthcare Coordination (OHC) as well as deliver safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to clients/families.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:- Assist in the planning implementation and evaluation of the nursing process including recruitment hiring training supervision disciplinary actions and termination of employees.
- Assist with the creation development and implementation of nursing curriculum and instructional programing as directed by the Director of OHC.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among Health Clinic staff and other departments.
- Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts coordinate client admissions discharges transfers and other operational issues.
- Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of patients while promoting a positive patient experience and environment that supports family-centered care reflective of the patient population.
- Assist in development and implement departmental policies and procedures while monitoring operations to ensure maximum success in departmental goals.
- Assist in ensuring that all regulatory standards are maintained.
- Use evidence-based practice and research to guide patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Treat examine and render care to patient clients in accordance with physicians orders.
- Provide preventative and rehabilitative psychiatric nursing procedures.
- Oversee daily operations of assigned areas in a cost-effective manner.
- Participate in Quality Improvement as indicated.
OTHER DUTIES:- Attend scheduled staff meetings supervision and on-going training.
- All required training certifications and licensures must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the clients treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Education: Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree lieu of a degree an Associates degree combined with three (3) years of appropriate experience is accepted.
- Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse license required.

- Experience: Experience working with children and adolescents required.
- Previous supervisory and/or management experience preferred.
