American Stone is looking to hire a full-time Local Delivery Driver with an unrestricted Class A License (able to drive manual transmission) to deliver a wide variety of stone products to retail customers landscaping and masonry contractors and other store locations. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLASS A CDL DRIVER
Youll load unload prepare inspect and operate the delivery vehicle flatbed or dump truck. Youll diagnose and repair fleet equipment. While this is a local position you could handle limited overnight travel very occasionally. You are kept busy not only doing deliveries but also keeping your truck in excellent working condition stocked with all the appropriate safety equipment and necessary tools. You understand and follow DOT regulations and safety standards. Youll feel great satisfaction through seeing how much you help customers and keep our store running smoothly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job such as lifting standing for extended periods of time working in extreme weather conditions.
- Able to run equipment necessary to load and secure the load.
- Valid Class A CDL with proper endorsement.
- Valid Medical Card.
- Clean driving record with no traffic violations.
- Ability to pass drug screening
The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Personality and attitude are more important than experience.
