• Hourly range $16.00 to $17.25 depending on experience.

What Youll Do: The Technical Service Apprentice role is a paid entry level role that provides a hands-on learning opportunity at TABS under the close guidance and mentorship of a Field Service Technician. Best practice skills from industry professionals will build the Apprentices knowledge in preparation for an entry level role. Under immediate supervision the Apprentice will shadow a TABS Field Service Technician learning to service and repair office equipment (B & W Color and Multifunctional devices) ID Badge and fingerprint systems/equipment at customer locations and in a classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely under the guidance of Technical Field Service Department Management shadow a TBS Field Service Technician while learning to service and repair office equipment (B & W Color and Multifunctional devices) ID Badge and fingerprint systems/equipment.
• While on the job learn to diagnose install remove modify clean retrofit equipment and how to coordinate with dispatch.
• Learn about departmental processes and procedures along with corresponding controls.
• Successfully complete all assigned service training (classroom and webinars) as required by TBS Management. Complete basic dealer and manufacturer training on specified systems as required.
• Learn and become proficient in maintaining car inventory tools and test equipment to ensure they are in service-ready condition.
• Under FS Tech guidance learn and practice PM procedures and repair techniques to build proficiency for field assignments.
• Learn and become proficient in accurately completing company documents according to service practices using automated systems and/or established reports.
• Conduct job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner according to TABS safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with all local state and federal safety and health regulations program standards and specific safety concerns identified by TABS for use in specific areas or with clients/customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma GED.
• Ability to lift 50lbs. The job involves frequent bending lifting and reaching.
• Must be comfortable in learning new skills
• Must have good communication skills
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to multitask prioritize assignments and follow directions.
• Requires a valid state drivers license and a minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Toshiba policy for positions entailing extensive use of personal car while on company business.
