The General Laborer plays a critical role in supporting operational efficiency and maintaining a safe organized work environment. This position involves a variety of physical tasks that contribute to the timely and high-quality completion of projects. The ideal candidate will assist skilled workers uphold safety standards and ensure workspace cleanliness all of which are essential to delivering results that meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Inspect and repair pallets addressing defects such as broken boards missing components nail issues debris and contamination.
Lift carry and move materials as needed throughout the workday.
Organize and store materials properly to optimize space and ensure safety compliance.
Assist with waste disposal and recycling processes.
Sort and stack pallets and materials by size and grade using APC methods.
Accurately complete and submit required documentation in a timely manner.
Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable federal state and local codes.
Keep work areas clean organized and free of hazards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret measurements.
Safely operate pneumatic nailer.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous related plant/industrial experience is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Basic math proficiency.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to pass a drug screening.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Able to stand bend kneel lift and reach for extended periods (810-hour shifts).
Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
Able to understand and accurately complete assigned tasks.
