Manage corporate income tax compliance and filings for European entities partnering with local advisors and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate timely and accurate preparation and filing of VAT withholding tax and other indirect tax returns overseeing local accounting teams responsible for filings.
Monitor changes in European tax legislation focusing on key jurisdictions (e.g. UK Germany France) and assess business impacts.
Support tax audits inquiries and correspondence with local tax authorities including internal and external audits for tax and statutory compliance.
Support preparation and filing of annual statutory financial statements for European entities focusing on tax-related components in collaboration with external providers and internal finance teams.
Enhance internal processes for tax compliance and statutory reporting to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements.
Assist with transfer pricing documentation intercompany arrangements and tax planning strategies as directed by the US tax team.
Contribute to annual IFRS tax footnote preparation.
Assist with global tax audits including data preparation and coordination with regional teams.
Provide ad hoc support for international tax and finance projects.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Tax Accounting Finance or a related field.
35 years of experience in tax compliance or tax accounting ideally in a multinational corporate or Big 4/public accounting setting.
Strong knowledge of European corporate and indirect tax regulations.
Experience with tax-related aspects of statutory financial statement preparation under local GAAPs and/or IFRS.
Strong organizational project management and communication skills with attention to detail and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification such as Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) CPA or equivalent.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle SAP NetSuite) advanced Excel and tax reporting software (e.g. OneSource).
