Description
Applications are invited for an A4 Senior Network Administrator within the Roads Delivery Directorate of Transport Scotland. You will be part of the busy Network Administration Team within the Roads Delivery Directorate which carries out a wide range of work in support of the delivery of Transport Scotlands objectives for the management maintenance safety and operation of the Scottish trunk road network.

This is a hands-on operational area and the post holder will have to contend with constantly changing and often urgent priorities as issues arise and manage a range of different work areas. This post will include line management duties of 3 staff members.

You will be required to ensure tasks are carried out to a high standard managed and handled in line with corporate targets; making sure there is consistency of approach and joined up working across the different parts of the Directorate and wider Agency.

You will be required to build and maintain good working relationships with professional colleagues internally and externally.

You will be responsible for managing your own workload ensuring your tasks are completed timeously and accurately. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain mailboxes for teams within the Directorate.

You will be required to become proficient in all tasks carried out by the team and take on ad hoc long and / or short term tasks to support the team or colleagues in the Directorate as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Process permanent and temporary Traffic Regulation Orders to allow works on the Trunk Road Network to take place safely.
  • Process Abnormal Load applications to allow loads of exceptional size to move on the Trunk Road Network.
  • Manage Damage to Crown Property and Third Party claims.
  • This post includes line management responsibilities.

Working Pattern

Our standard hours are 35 hours per week. We offer a range of flexible and hybrid working options depending on the needs of the role. If you have specific questions about the role you are applying for please contact us.

Location

This post is based inGlasgow with hybrid working in line with current Transport Scotland policies. You will be expected to be office based twice per week pro rata.
