Description

We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Tax Department within our Mankato office. Our tax team proactively services individuals and businesses to help clients minimize taxes and maximize growth. With ongoing continuing education youll stay current on tax legislation to identify strategic tax planning opportunities for clients. Internships are paid full-time experiences which run January April in our Mankato MN office. We recruit well in advance of this time frame to allow youflexibility and time to make arrangements for housing and required classes.

As an Intern you will perform a variety of tax research and individual and corporate tax return preparation. You will work with a variety of clients (within multiple industries) on their tax preparation and planning. You will be given the support you need to develop a breadth of skills and experiences that will enable you to achieve your goals. Responsibilities

  • Prepare income tax returns (individual partnership multistate corporate and other)
  • Year-end planning
  • Opportunities to respond to a variety of inquiries from Federal and State taxing authorities
  • Tax research projects
  • Special projects as assigned


Requirements
  • Working towards a bachelors or masters degree in accounting and/or 150 credit hours
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements
  • Completion of intermediate accounting course(s)
  • Completion of some Tax and/or Audit course(s) by time of internship
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
  • Exemplary communication and organizational skills
  • Strong desire to learn and develop professionally
  • Motivated to serve clients
  • Desire to be a team player

The wage for this position is $28.00 per hour. This salary range reflects anticipated responsibilities and qualifications of a successful candidate for this role. Final compensation may vary depending on an individuals experience knowledge and skills. You will receive an in-depth onboarding and training and supportive Boulay Buddy to help you acclimate to your role.
