Position Summary:
The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist is a key contributor to the AR team performing all the core functions of an AR Specialist while providing advanced technical guidance process improvement leadership and backup supervision when needed. This temp-to-perm role involves developing and updating SOPs mentoring peers and working closely with the AR Manager to resolve complex customer account issues.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to: Accounts Receivable Manager
Location: Hialeah FL
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform all daily AR functions including posting cash receipts processing invoices and reviewing credit applications.
Develop update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for AR processes.
Provide technical guidance and serve as a subject matter expert to the AR team.
Mentor and onboard new AR staff to promote a collaborative high-performance culture.
Serve as backup supervisor during the AR Managers absence to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate with the AR Manager on complex customer account and payment issue resolution.
Maintain accurate documentation including sales tax exemption certificates.
Research and resolve billing/payment discrepancies in partnership with Customer Service.
Assist with collections and customer account communications.
Support continuous process improvement initiatives for AR workflows.
Education & Qualifications:
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent; bachelors degree preferred.
3 years of progressively responsible AR experience including leadership or mentorship.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook) and accounting/ERP systems.
Proven experience developing and maintaining SOP documentation.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently exercise sound judgment and resolve complex account issues.
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
