Job Description

Are you a compassionate and strategic leader ready to take the next step in your career Join our mission-driven team and lead impactful programs that support individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the ACT.

The position

Working as part of the leadership team you will be responsible for the program and project delivery of the Societys specialised homelessness programs. You will bring your energy and drive along with your deep understanding of the crisis and long-term needs of vulnerable people the socio-economic contributors to generational and cyclical poverty contributing factors and impacts of homelessness.

Leading specialist teams you will be responsible for the delivery of a broad range of important and critical programs such as Family Services Program Samaritan House Mens Shelter Street to Home Outreach Services Justice Housing Programs amongst others.

  • 15% Superannuation plus salary packaging option up to $15900 per FBT year with an additional Meals and Entertainment package available up to $2650 per FBT year

About You

To be successful you will see this role as more than just a job and be known as a proven leader in the social sector with demonstrated experience in delivering programs and projects specifically in relation to homelessness. You will be a natural relationship builder who has established networks working with diverse stakeholders as well as leading and inspiring high performing teams.

A Bachelors degree (or Cert IV as a minimum) in social work/community services/welfare or a related field is required along with 3-5 years of experience within the community or not for profit sector within a similar role with translatable skills.
