The Supply Chain team at the Health Support Center supports purchasing operations across the enterprise. We work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Our team values detail orientation communication and a problem-solving mindset all within a culture that promotes work-life balance and professional development.
A Senior Specialist Purchasing who excels in this role:
Creates purchase orders from requisitions for assigned suppliers and categories
Monitors order transmissions and confirmations for accuracy and timeliness
Collaborates with suppliers to resolve backorders and order issues
Processes order amendments and maintains documentation
Responds to order-related inquiries from sites and suppliers
Ensures compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g. HIPAA)
Supports procurement operations with minimal supervision and proactive issue resolution

Applicants should have a bachelors degree (preferably in Supply Chain Operations or a related field) and 23 years of relevant experience. Additional requirements include:
Experience in supply chain operations within a hospital or healthcare environment preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with ERP systems and intermediate computer applications
Effective communication and vendor management skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
