Job Description
Would you like to join a global organisation that works to ensure the responsible use of natural resources worldwide Preferred by Nature is currently looking for an Intern for risk assessment and GHG in Indonesia or Malaysia.
Preferred by Nature is a non-profit mission-driven organisation that works for sustainable land management and climate-friendly solutions. With 300 employees and a network of local experts we develop practical solutions to drive positive impacts in production landscapes and supply chains in 100 countries. We focus on forest and climate impact commodities and related sectors.
Are you passionate about sustainability climate change and environmental management Would you like to gain hands-on experience in a global NGO while supporting real-world projects on climate risk assessments and GHG emissions If you are a student or recent graduate in Environmental Science Forestry Natural Resource Management or a related field this internship could be your opportunity to contribute to meaningful climate action.
In this role you will be:
- Assisting with literature reviews and desk-based research on sustainability climate and environmental management topics
- Supporting the development of data collection templates and tools
- Organising and managing datasets and project documentation
- Contributing to drafting technical reports
- Participating in internal team discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Supporting other tasks as assigned to help deliver project goals
You will bring:
- Strong interest in sustainability climate or natural resource management
- Understanding of GHG emissions accounting and climate change risk
- Research and analytical skills with the ability to summarise information clearly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia or Melayu
- Academic background in Environmental Science Forestry Natural Resource Management or Accounting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
