Job Description
Were seeking a Global Manufacturing Excellence Change Agent to optimize production operations and drive performance improvements across our manufacturing facilities. This role combines operational expertise with change management to enhance productivity and establish sustainable manufacturing practices. As our Manufacturing Excellence Change Agent youll diagnose operational challenges and implement solutions that transform our production performance. Youll work closely with manufacturing teams to embed best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities include but are not limited to;
- Conduct fast-track diagnostic on specific area of expertise (such as production maintenance costs and behaviors) to identify efficiency improvements and create action plans
- Support local Manufacturing Excellence team in developing organization capability
- Partner with experts to implement and standardize new capabilities while conducting system audits and promoting data-driven performance improvements on Syngenta Production System
- Coach leaders and train employees in standardized practices
Qualifications and required experience
- MS/BS in Industrial Engineering or Chemical sciences or a 5-year technical degree in related discipline
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing site Productions department (or equivalent experience in Maintenance Engineering or Operation Excellence) ideally with involvement in transformation projects focusing on manufacturing problematics
- Strong understanding of manufacturing site cost-structures with experience in deployment of cost-competitiveness
- Excellent interpersonal influencing and communication skills will be required to convince key stakeholders of the need for change
- Ability to access and utilize complex and conflicting data systems including SAP data warehouses etc.
- Strong capability to develop coach & teach others
- Must be mobile to travel and accompany project activity whenever required on sites
Additional Information :
Travel up to 60% travel as part of the role sometimes at short notice. Mobility to travel and accompany project activity whenever required on sites is essential.
The is a preference for the role of being based in Manchester but other locations within the UK can be considered.
