Job Details:

General Notes

  • The Equipment Checkout team at Moody College plays a vital role in supporting students faculty and staff by managing the reservation preparation and return of media production equipment. We ensure users have access to reliable well-maintained equipment and a smooth checkout experience enabling successful academic and creative work

Purpose:

  • To assist in maintaining daily functions at Moody Equipment Checkout

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and stage equipment for reservation pick-ups.

  • Assist students faculty and staff with checking out and returning equipment.

  • Accurately record checkouts returns and any equipment damage or loss.

  • Inspect equipment upon return and report issues with equipment as needed.

  • Organize and Maintain equipment storage area

Required Qualifications:

  • Current student at UT Austin

  • Plus any other required qualifications (such as Work Study)

  • This job requires US work authorization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of cameras lighting audio and/or grip equipment preferred but not required

Salary Range:

  • Set pay rate of $12/hour

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office conditions in a shared space.

  • Occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions while working in the main equipment area with overhead door open.

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

  • Use of manual dexterity.

  • Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods.

  • Occasionally lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
