SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the manufacturing performance targets by identifying areas of process or quality output concerns and by participating in quality investigations and resolution activities. The incumbent will provide strategic and tactical leadership in the development and implementation of quality policies programs and procedures in support of our goals and objectives.
The incumbent is also responsible for the Supplier Quality Program to ensure that tank cars released from the manufacturing facilities meet regulatory and customer requirements.
The incumbent works to ensure that their work always meets internal and external customer expectations by fully applying himself/herself to the tasks involved preventing errors and implementing personal and departmental quality improvement addition the incumbent is required to understand the Responsible Care Management System and actively participate in activities outlined therein.
