Ensure delivery of services to aide in rapid re-housing and the prevention of homelessness by promoting and developing awareness of the program.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide professional compassionate trauma-informed customer service as the first point of contact for clients and visitors
Maintain an organized efficient front desk and lobby while adapting quickly to changing needs and priorities
Conduct initial eligibility screening of Veterans seeking program assistance via phone calls website entries emails from community partners and unscheduled walk-ins
Conduct intake for unscheduled walk-in clients
Provide accurate information to Veterans and community partners regarding program services and grant guidelines
Provide community resources and referrals to Veterans not meeting program eligibility requirements
Accurately enter referral information into spreadsheets and software maintaining meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrate strong technology skills and the ability to learn new systems and software
Prepare reports as requested by Lead Outreach & Intake Specialist and Program Director Other duties as assigned
Demonstrate Exceptional customer service in Everything you do by placing the child family Veteran or client first to support our mission to Empower people to build better lives for themselves their families and their communities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: 1 years in a customer service focused environment. Experience with homeless low income veterans & their families a strong plus.
ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employers sole discretion.
LICENSES: Non-Expired Drivers License with clear record required.
VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice with current auto insurance. Up to 10% travel within main county and surrounding areas as needed.
OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others
