Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Building Safety Coordinator/Business Support on a 2-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 18.75 - 23.79 per hour

Summary:

The Building Safety Co-ordinator will play a key role in ensuring the safety compliance and smooth operation of high-rise residential buildings within the councils housing stock. Working both in the community and alongside internal teams you will oversee building safety through regular inspections maintain essential safety documentation and act as a primary point of contact for residents on safety matters. You will also provide business support to the Estate Operations Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure buildings comply with relevant health & safety legislation and the Building Safety Act.
  • Carry out block inspections person-centred fire risk assessments (PCFRA) and other safety checks.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents safety concerns providing clear advice and support.
  • Engage with community groups councillors and partner agencies to promote safety awareness.
  • Assist with general administration within the Estate Operations Service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of regular face-to-face engagement in a customer service or community role.
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety and residents safety regulations (including PCFRA).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Experience of maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to converse fluently in English providing accurate and courteous advice to the public.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between sites and work flexibly as service needs require.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
