You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Test Fixture Automation Engineer you will define develop and implement automated material handling and load/unloading processes for our factory testing and calibration stations.
You will partner closely with Hardware Test Engineering System Industrial Engineering and our Manufacturing partners to build towards fully automated factory testing lines from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Define and draft standardized automation specifications for test fixtures controls infrastructure and automation systems.
Creates request for quotation and proposals (RFQ/RFPs) and engages in 3rd party automation suppliers or contract manufacturers for automation design reviews and proposals.
Creates necessary design and qualification documentations such as FMEA machine qualification requirements and acceptance testing protocols.
Collaborate with cross functional teams and key stakeholders during the NPI phases making sure the automation developments are within the project schedule scope cost and risk levels.
Travel to supplier and contract manufacturer locations for equipment bing-up qualification acceptance testing debugging on-site support and audits.
Travel required: up to 50% (Primarily Shandong or Jiangsu province).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
2 years of experience in designing and deploying automation systems used in material handling load/unloading pick and place and conveyance systems.
Successfully developed and deployed an automation system for at least one high volume production line.
Experience in complex automation development including: automation layout robotics programming and simulation machine vision sensor integration automation safety.
Industrial automation machine vision and controls programming knowledge
Experience in creating technical specifications and documentation for automation equipment machine qualification requirements maintenance FMEA design of experiments and failure analysis.
New product introduction and manufacturing operations experience.
Preferred Qualifications
4 years of experience in designing and deploying automation systems used in material handling load/unloading pick and place and conveyance systems.
Proven track record for deploying automation systems over multiple products and
production lines preferably in consumer electronics.
Expertise in tuning a broad range of motion control systems (servos robotics transducers and/or voice coils).
Familiarity with controls and automation software.
Familiarity with PLC (ladder logic structured text etc)
Familiarity with coding (C# C python)
Knowledgeable in controls infrastructure (field bus networks serial communications
EtherNet/IP EtherCAT or similar between machines) is a plus
Knowledge of CAD software (NX a plus).
Working knowledge of GD&T principles.
Hands-on manufacturing test experience.
Fluent in reading writing and speaking in both Mandarin and English.
Ability to communicate effectively in a worldwide team environment
