What Youll Be Doing:

Global Networks & Technology - Security & Operations is responsible for Telstras security and operations protecting Telstras assets and infrastructure.

You will:

  • Lead the design development and execution of Telstras threat hunting program.

  • Collaborate with internal teams external partners and government agencies to detect and respond to threat actor activity.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional authorities private sector stakeholders and the broader cyber security community.

  • Provide expert analysis and guidance on cyber threats including state-sponsored and criminal cyber operations.

  • Contribute to cyber ecosystem at organisational national and global levels.

  • Deliver timely and actionable security reporting to key stakeholders.

  • Build and lead a high-performing team fostering a culture of excellence innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Stay ahead of emerging cyber trends and technologies mentoring team members and sharing knowledge.

What Youll Bring:

Candidates must hold a current Defence clearance to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain an Australian Government Baseline/NV1/NV2 security clearance.

  • Proven global experience in developing and executing cyber threat hunting programs in large complex environments.

  • Deep understanding of the technical legal and geopolitical aspects of cyber security.

  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating complex stakeholder relationships across international geographies.

  • Proven global experience in building high performing programs and leading high performing teams.

  • Demonstrated expertise in:

  • Cyber Security Operations

  • Threat Detection and Hunting

  • Traffic Analysis and Intrusion Detection

  • Cyber Threat Intelligence

  • Insider Threat

  • Incident Response

  • Emerging Technologies Research

  • Performance Management and Mentorship

  • Well-developed knowledge or experience in:

  • Digital Forensics

  • Reverse Engineering

  • E-Discovery

  • An ability to hold an Australian Government Security Clearance.
